How CBCT-driven case selection determines which procedure fits which patient
The single most important diagnostic tool in modern implant dentistry is the 3D CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) scan. CBCT reconstructs the maxilla and mandible in three dimensions, revealing alveolar bone width and height, cortical thickness, sinus floor position, inferior alveolar nerve trajectory, and the bone density (Lekholm-Zarb classification) at every potential implant site. The CBCT — provided free at consult across all our offices — is what determines whether a patient is a candidate for: (a) standard single-tooth implant placement at $1,999 all-inclusive, (b) immediate-load same-day implant protocol, (c) standard All-on-4 with the four tilted implants engaging anterior maxillary bone at $12,500 per arch, (d) All-on-X with five or six implants when bone density patterns favor additional anchor points, (e) sinus lift or ridge augmentation prior to standard implant placement, or (f) zygomatic implants engaging the malar bone for severe maxillary atrophy.
