A single-tooth dental implant is the gold standard for replacing one missing or broken tooth. Unlike a bridge — which requires grinding down two healthy adjacent teeth — an implant is a standalone replacement: a titanium post fused to your jawbone, topped with a custom abutment and porcelain crown that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

We offer this complete restoration for $1,999 — a price that includes the implant fixture, the abutment, and the porcelain crown. The free 3D CT (CBCT) scan and consultation are also included. The only situation where you would pay more is if you need a tooth extraction or a small bone graft beforehand, and we tell you that exact number in writing at your consult — never as a surprise after the fact.

If you've gotten quotes elsewhere ranging from $4,000 to $6,000 per tooth, the difference isn't quality — it's the markup. We use the same titanium implant brands, the same surgical protocols, and the same diagnostic imaging as the national chains. We just don't run their ad budget or their commission-based sales coordinator model.

What's included

The Single Tooth difference.

Titanium implant fixture

FDA-cleared titanium post placed precisely with 3D CBCT-guided surgical planning. Integrates with bone (osseointegration) for a permanent foundation.

Custom abutment

The connector between implant and crown — designed for your exact bite. No 'one-size-fits-all' off-the-shelf parts.

Porcelain crown

Color-matched to your existing teeth. Glazed to refract light the way enamel does. Most patients can't tell their crown from their real teeth.

Free 3D CT scan

Cone-beam CT scan plans the implant within 0.3mm accuracy. Most clinics charge $250–$400 for this. Included for our patients.

Free consultation

30 minutes with Dr. Sunny or one of our implant doctors. Review your scan, discuss the timeline, finalize your written quote.

No-asterisks pricing

$1,999 covers everything listed above. Bone grafts and extractions priced separately and shown to you in writing before you commit.

Free in-office 3D CT scan + consult

30-minute appointment at the office closest to you. Free imaging, final quote in writing, surgery scheduled.

04

Implant placement

Titanium fixture placed under local anesthesia or IV sedation, depending on your preference. Most patients return to work within 24-48 hours.

05

Healing period (4–6 months)

Your jawbone integrates with the implant (osseointegration). You wear a temporary placeholder during this time so your smile is never compromised.

06

Final crown delivery

Custom porcelain crown installed at a follow-up visit. Total: 4–6 months from first photo to final tooth in most cases.

"I was nervous because the price seemed too good. But the team explained every step, the 3D scan was free, and the final crown looks better than my real teeth. Five stars all the way."

Single-tooth implant: surgical anatomy, materials, and pricing transparency

What the $1,999 single-tooth implant actually includes — and how the price compares to the $4,500+ standard in the California implant market.

The three components of a single-tooth implant and why bundled pricing matters

A functional implant-restored tooth consists of three engineered components. The titanium fixture (the screw, anchoring into the alveolar bone — typically Neodent Grand Morse, Straumann BLT, or Nobel Biocare in our practice) costs the practice $300–$650 wholesale and bills out at $1,800–$2,400 in private-practice itemized pricing. The custom abutment (the CAD/CAM-milled connector between fixture and crown, designed to your specific bite anatomy and gingival contour) costs the practice $200–$400 wholesale and bills out at $800–$1,400. The crown (the visible tooth, typically monolithic zirconia or porcelain-fused-to-zirconia, color-matched to adjacent teeth) costs $250–$500 from the dental lab and bills out at $1,200–$2,000. Add the 3D CBCT diagnostic scan ($350–$500 separately), surgical placement fee, and lab fee, and the standard private-practice itemized single-tooth implant in California runs $4,200–$6,800. Our $1,999 bundles all four primary components into one written number — no surprise additions at the second visit.

Osseointegration: the biological process that makes implants work

Osseointegration — the direct functional and structural connection between living bone and the surface of a titanium implant — was first systematically described by Per-Ingvar Brånemark in the 1960s and remains the foundational principle of all modern implant dentistry. The titanium surface oxidizes on contact with bone tissue, forming a thin titanium-dioxide layer that bone cells (osteoblasts) deposit new bone matrix onto. Over 3–6 months, the implant becomes mechanically locked into the surrounding bone — strong enough to support normal occlusal forces indefinitely. Modern implant fixtures use micro-textured surface treatments (sand-blasted large-grit, acid-etched, or SLActive) to accelerate the early healing phase from 12 weeks to 6–8 weeks. Once osseointegration is complete and verified radiographically, the final permanent crown is seated, and the restoration is functionally indistinguishable from a natural tooth. The long-term cumulative survival rate of properly placed single-tooth implants exceeds 95% at 10 years and 90% at 20 years across multiple prospective cohort studies.

When extractions, bone grafts, or sinus lifts add to the $1,999 base price

The $1,999 single-tooth implant price applies to patients with adequate existing bone at the planned implant site and either a healed extraction site or an intact tooth requiring routine extraction during the implant procedure. Three scenarios add cost, all quoted in writing at consult before any commitment: (1) Tooth extraction with socket preservation (small graft material packed into the extraction socket to maintain ridge height for the implant). (2) Ridge augmentation for previously-resorbed sites where the buccal-lingual bone width is insufficient for fixture placement. (3) Sinus lift in posterior maxillary cases where the maxillary sinus floor has pneumatized into the planned implant trajectory. Each of these is priced individually based on graft size and complexity; the typical socket preservation runs in the low hundreds, ridge augmentation moderately more, and sinus lifts substantially more. Every line item appears in writing on your treatment plan before consent, with the total clearly stated before any procedure begins.
